Landscaping
Looking to fix my back patio up for guests and myself to have a breakfast/smoking area. Need to level and resoil, then add a pathway made of pallet wood. Would love the help!
Painting Help
Happy to offer a place to stay in exchange for help painting the interior walls of my house. Thanks!
Description
ABOUT THE PLACE
This two bedrooms, one bath shotgun is all New Orleans charm, layered themes, and fully accommodating. Two fit comfortably in this Byrd’s nest. Steps from the bayou and the [voted] best local bar in New Orleans, with even more clubs and bars a quick uber away —what more could you need! Welcome to the Crescent City. Stay awhile!
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
Besides the local watering hole for crafted cocktails, a movie theater with an equally great bar (and super chic!) are blocks away. There's a greenway that stretches the city also within walking/biking distance. The streetcar to downtown is a small hike away, and a coffeeshop with odes to horse-racing (being that the race track is nearby) with great, strong coffee and free wifi. Coffee not your thing? Two boutique wine shoppes are within walking distance, too. This part of the city is burgeoning with businesses and properties — new and old. I think you'll really like it! Did I mention there’s a bayou? Rent a kayak and get frisky on a romantic paddle ride for two.

Getting Around
Bus and streetcar lines are nearby. Download the RTA app to buy tickets on the go for $3.50/day, or $1.25 per ride. We have Lyft and Uber now, with a new introduction of Blue Bikes for easy transportation all over the city.

HOSTING RULES
You’ll realize quick I’m a pretty chill, flexible person. Shoo, I travel! I know the drill. While I do live in the house, and usually work from home, just let me know if you’ll be coming in late or want to have a dinner party. I love dinner parties! Smoking is okay —outside. I have a big ass, beautiful yard so you’ll likely want to be outside anyway (complete with fire pit!). I don’t like randos showing up to my house, but hey, people make friends. Just let me know! Again, I’m chill.

Hey, I'm Hope

Commercial photographer by day and concert photographer by night, I’m a New Orleans-based artist that breathes advocacy for the musical arts. I studied Arts Administration and Marketing at UNO with an educational stint in Prague, currently photographing (and designing) under my brand name, The Gold Frame. Inspired by music and determined to capture it, New Orleans’ culture bearers are usually the subject of my lens. I’ve shot the likes of Paul McCartney, Deacon John, George Porter Jr., Leo Nocentelli, Walter Wolfman, Judy Hill; more nationally, Nas, Tom Petty, Atmosphere, Telmary y Habana Sana — the list goes on. Formerly a Jazz Fest archive photographer, I’m now contracted by GoDaddy, Winter Circle Productions, and more recently, ANTIGRAVITY Magazine.
